Program Overview
- Abstract. Maximum of 300 words summarizing the research objectives, methodology, major findings and significance of the study. Highlight the novelty, originality, and implecation.
- Paper Submission. Maximum of eight (8) pages. All papers will be peer reviewed by two members of the International Scientific Committee (ISC). A paper will be accepted if both reviewers recommend acceptance. If one of the reviewers rejects a paper, a third ISC member will review the paper to reach the final decision.
- Presentations. 30 minutes will be allocated for each keynote presentation, and 15 minutes for each regular technical presentation including questions and answers. Dedicated time slots will be allocated for introduction to posters by session chair/co-chairs, and additional time for poster viewing. Click here for a preliminary schedule.
- Forums and workshops. The organizers of the IAQVEC 2010 conference invite proposals for technical forums to be held during the conference to discuss emerging issues. Each forum session will be schedule for 1.5 hours. Up to 10 forum sessions are planned during the conference. A forum proposal should include the following:
- Title of the forum
- Names, Affiliation and Email addresses of Chairs
- Short 1/2 page description of the forum including objectives of the forum, short program and questions to be addressed
- Names of Speakers/Contributors to the forum and titles of their presentations (Note that sufficient time should be allocated for discussions)
Please Email forum proposals to: Mr. Jim Jetter (Jetter.Jim@epamail.epa.gove) and Dr. Suresh Santanam (ssantana@syr.edu) by May 1, 2010. You will be notified of the selection decision no later than May 15, 2010.
- Publications. All accepted papers will be published in the IAQVEC2010 Conference Proceedings in electronic format. Selected papers will be recommended for publication in special issues of research journals subject to peer reviews. Journals that support such post conference publications will include: Indoor Air, Building and Environment, Building Simulation—an International Journal, International Journal of Ventilation, International Journal of Building Physics, and ASHRAE HVAC&R Research Journal.
- Displays and Exhibitions. Spaces will be provided for displays, exhibitions and demonstrations of technology products by industrial and non-industrial sponsors.
